The Chair Festival was born from the exchange of ideas, collaboration, and a shared desire to promote the development of Chair Dance and Acrochair in Chile. The initiative emerged from the partnership between Oh Margoth, founder of School of Oh Margoth, and Alexa, founder of Alexa Love & Chair, who currently serve as the directors of the Festival. Both are certified advanced-level Acrochair instructors and have been developing and teaching regular classes since early 2021, sharing knowledge, experiences, and a common vision for the growth and development of this discipline. From the beginning of this partnership, they have worked together to create a Festival that is much more than a competition: a space for connection, expression, learning, and community, where every participant can showcase their work, share their journey, and enjoy a beautiful, respectful, and rewarding experience. And so, the Chair Festival was born: an annual celebration that brings together dancers and schools, highlights national talent, and continues to strengthen the development of Chair Dance and Acrochair in Chile. In its third edition, the Festival brought together participants from different schools and regions of the country at Teatro Fiebre in Providencia, continuing a story that grows year after year through hard work, collaboration, and a shared love for this discipline. We would especially like to highlight that both schools, School of Oh Margoth and Alexa Love & Chair, are a fundamental part of the origins and development of this Festival.
